Description

A premium snail and barnacle remover as well as an outstanding scale remover. The agent does not contain hydrochloric acid, which means that it is not as harmful, corrosive or dangerous to work with as the agents that have been on the market until now against snails and barnacles.

How to use
Sharkbite Barnacle Remover is easy to apply to drives, propellers, trim levels and boat bottoms, without damaging adjacent surfaces and can be used on lacquered or painted surfaces, aluminium, steel, all gelcoats, fiberglass and teak. Spraying on dry shell is most effective. Sharkbite Barnacle Remover is frost resistant and biodegradable.

Advice
For best results, we recommend that you read our tips below before you start using the product:

Test on a small area first
Sharkbite Barnacle Remover is a very potent agent. On certain types of untreated plastic on drives and rigging, as well as galvanized surfaces or zinc on, for example, trailers, there may be reactions and discoloration in the surface layer. When used on certain types of metals, it may therefore be necessary to dilute with water. Be sure to test on a small area first so you can see what happens and avoid being surprised. Always rinse thoroughly with water to avoid corrosion damage to soft plastics and metals. If in doubt, contact your engine or trailer supplier.

Rinse off loose growth and dirt and allow to dry before removing Sharkbite
For best results, you should start by blowing off with high pressure first, then the growth and loose dirt that would otherwise have absorbed the agent and not released it to the surface where we want it to work will come off. Once you have flushed away the growth and dirt, allow the boat/surface/shell to dry. If you spray Sharkbite on a wet or damp boat, the agent will be diluted and the effect will be reduced. Then you can spray Sharkbite directly on a dry surface or shell. Give it 3-5 minutes depending on the results you can see. Then rinse thoroughly and let it dry. Repeat the procedure one more time if any residue remains.

Warm working temperature = Fast cleaning
Sharkbite always bites quickly and efficiently. All cleaning with Sharkbite is fast and it is even faster in a warmer working temperature. The hotter the temperature, the faster it goes and then you have to rinse it off with water as soon as it’s done. Therefore, try it on a small area first. Then decide whether to take a piece at a time or the whole boat at once. If you are satisfied, you can proceed. If you are not satisfied with the result, it may be due to the temperature. That it is simply too cold. The colder, the more time required for a waterline cleaning or to digest a barnacle. You may then need to leave the product on for a few extra minutes.

Work methodically and rinse thoroughly
You can be safe with Sharkbite as long as you rinse the product off with water when you’re done. Be careful, so that there are no residues and “bites” on the hull, the metal, the plastic, the rubber, the PVC for a long time, e.g. over the winter.
